Bottega Louie: Back on Gold's List

Pin It A few weekends ago, we got back to exploring Gold's 99 list, and decided to try Bottega Louie. The space was impressive, busy, with lots of white walls. My cocktail before dinner was delicious. Called a Whiskey Clover, it had whiskey, with more whiskey, and orange something.


We started off with a plate of Serrano ham, and an eggplant dish, with pine nuts and raisins. This proved to be too sweet for my husband, but I liked it just fine.

For our main courses, we both had pasta (no photos as my fork was faster than my camera). The husband ordered the Fettuccine Belmondo, which was subtle and tasty, with tomatoes, arugula, and cheese. And I had the Ravioli stuffed with spinach and ricotta, in a creamy sauce, with pancetta, sage and peas.

The meal was tasty and satisfying, but it wasn't spectacular. Next time we have decided to try the pizza. We sat near the pizza oven (below) and were entertained by all the activity around it. I definitely liked the place enough to give it another try. So more to report after attempt number 2.
