Banana Chips and Whiskey: Simple, Healthy, Delicious

There are nights when cooking dinner seems ridiculous. On these nights, typically coming home late from the gym, and arriving to an empty condo, my feet aching, and my body angry for being forced to move for a whole hour and a half, I take off my shoes, and pour myself a glass whiskey. Since the beginning of this year, I have successfully limited such nights. But once in a while, I convince myself that since I'm not eating dinner, and whiskey is made of grains, it can't be bad for me. After all, grains are good for you. Last week, I caved had such a delicious evening.

Earlier that week, when our friend cooked us an Indian Feast, we tasted some of the best banana chips ever. These were not sweet, but savory. They tasted healthy, and were brough over directly from India by his father a few weeks prior. I talked about them so much, that our friend sent us away with a bag of them, noting his dad enjoys the chips while sipping whiskey in the evening. So with that image ingrained in my mind, I made sure to have some "fruit" with my liquid grains. And let me tell you, it was a great combination.
